Chevy Pro Street Trucks And Cars... How Does The Higher Gas prices Effect This Summers Fun?

Well I for one wonder just how much I will be able to afford to drive my Chevy Pro Street Truck around this summer just for kicks other than going to and from auto shows. With the price of gas going up and down like a roller coaster every week I feel this will have a adverse effect on My pleasure rides I take this summer in the 85 Chevy Pro Street Truck I own.                1985 Chevrolet c10 Silverado

LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO MY Chevy Truck Engine!!!!

This bad boy gets about 4 miles per gallon if you keep your foot out of it.
But man is it fun!!! This rascal is 10:1 compression and runs premium fuel, and was built for maximum horse power on pump gas and does very well on this type of fuel.

Any other modification's would require racing fuel   We don't even want to talk about how much that stuff is to buy.
So with the price of fuel going sky high its bound to have a negative effect on many folk's driving even stock Chevy Trucks and Cars to the Mild to Wild Chevy Pro Street Trucks and Cars we all want to see on the roads this coming summer.
With a 15 gallon fuel cell this will be like 60.00 to fill at 4.00 a gallon. and the usage ranging from 2-4 MPG You can begin to see the problem that the raising fuel cost are going to have on even a street driven pump gas Chevy Pro Street Truck ! Not to mention all the Chevy Pro street Cars that are out there. Just think if you had a blower installed. RACING FUEL ONLY

I am starting to save my money now since we have about 4 more weeks left until the streets are dry and rinsed of the salt put down this winter........Did I mention I live in Chicago?
If anyone has suggestions on what a guy should do? Please chime in and tell a brother. LOL And robbing a bank is not going to happen   I have tons of hours and dough wrapped up in my three Chevy Trucks I drive.
